The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) was passed by congress
in August 2008. Effective February 10th 2009 the CPSIA requires manufacturers
and importers of all products intended for use by children ages 12 and under
meet certain standards for lead, flammability and phalates.
